Our various services, help and guidance exceed even the highest demands.
Many Spirit Guides appear to be Native Indian, Egyptian, Chinese, Tibetan or of ancient tribal earthly origin. This is because the particular races lived a very spiritual existence and were in tune with their spiritual and psychic intuition and totally one with nature. However, this is not always the case. Your Spirit Guide can also be someone who has simply evolved spiritually and chooses to act as a teacher and link to the spirit world. This can even be a family member or someone that you have known in this or a previous lifetime.
You may not even be aware of whom your Spirit Guides are, but we all have them. Some have only one that they communicate with. Others have many. We have found to our knowledge, that we all have a Spirit Guide(s). They guide us through our earthly lifetime, helping us along our earthly pathway. During this time other Guides may come forward to help with different development areas in our earthly progression. This can be in many ways but always for our spiritâs welfare.
In referring to spirit welfare, we refer to the things that are loving and nurturing to ourselves. This is the evolution and progression of our spiritual development on many different levels.
Spirit Guides can also be referred to as Spirit Angels or Spirit Guardians and can sometimes be depicted with wings. They are highly evolved spiritual beings who guide, protect and heal us.
What Is the "third eye"
The concept of the third eye refers to both to a physical position in the body (roughly between and slightly above â the level of oneâs physical eyes) and a kind of transcendent sensory organ that is actually independent of the body. Many yogic disciplines â including Tantra â associate it with the sixth or seventh (depending on the particular school of thought) chakra or energy centre. Providing a physical location for something non-corporeal in nature is apt in the case of the third eye, because it has often been seen as a nexus point, a connecting link between the earthly realm and the spiritual.
Some spiritual practices, such as Taoism, view the third eye as a part of mankindâs natural inheritance, something that can be cultivated. It really isnât a âthingâ at all but rather a faculty, much like consciousness itself, which can be in a dormant or an awakened state depending on the person. Some spiritual teachers warn against âawakeningâ the third eye prematurely or without guidance. Sense data thatâs received in a non-sensory way can be confusing â even disruptive â to those not initiated into the experience.
The third eye can also be thought of as a kind of psychic antennae, an energy centre that enables us to receive impressions, insights and knowledge from sources beyond the physical. The art of being receptive in this way is, according to some spiritual disciplines, something that can be developed with time, patience and humble acceptance of the process. This can be a path to awakening psychic talents and ESP. For this reason, the third eye is often referenced in occult literature. In Theosophy it is associated with the partially dormant pineal gland, which some people think of as a kind of âdoorwayâ from the physical brain into spheres of non-ordinary perception.
This brings us into the realm of astral travel and communication with higher planes of reality. This faculty of the third eye has inspired some philosophers and spiritual teachers to grant it a prominent role in human evolution. Within such a context, the perceptions and insights that come from this energy centre may be intended to lead us beyond the reference point of our physical bodies so that we begin to experience ourselves as primarily spiritual beings. The philosopher Descartes considered the pineal gland to be the âseat of the soulâ. Ancient Egyptians evoked it with the symbol of the Eye of Horus.
Many people have experienced what they believed to be their third eye. Some keep such perceptions to themselves out of fear that others will misunderstand and possibly even ostracize them. Psychics who read âaurasâ or âlightsâ often claim to be working from the standpoint of the third eye, which perceives in a manner thatâs very different from physical sight. Indeed, auras can be thought of as a kind of translation of perceptions that are beyond the realm of the five senses and donât have any physical counterparts. We have to evoke such perceptions with metaphor and artistic expressions, or grapple with them with our intuitive faculties rather than with our reasoning minds.
The Mysterious Pineal Gland
The pineal gland, which is sometimes referred to as the third eye, is a small endocrine gland about the size of a raisin. The pineal gland has important physical functions. It is also considered by many to be the most mysterious part of the human body. Some people believe that the pineal gland links the physical body with the spiritual world.
The pineal gland is a reddish-grey colour. It is located in the geometrical centre of the brain, right between the left and right hemispheres. The pineal gland is the only part of the brain that is not cut off from the rest of the body by the blood-brain barrier. The pineal gland looks similar to a tiny pine cone and its main function is to produce the hormone melatonin. Melatonin is an antioxidant hormone which neutralises the damaging impact of free radicals. Melatonin also regulates the biological rhythms of the body. The sleep/wake pattern, for example, is regulated by the hormone melatonin. The pineal gland also secretes an antioxidant compound called pinolene.
Fluoride, which is found in tap water and toothpaste, impacts the pineal gland once it is introduced to the human body. Consuming fluoride leads to the calcification of the pineal gland. In other words fluoride hardens both the soft and hard tissue of the pineal gland. This impedes the production of melatonin and interferes with the biological rhythms of the body. Hence someone whose pineal gland has calcified may have problems dropping off to sleep at night. Some conspiracy theorists believe that the powers that be put fluoride in drinking water on purpose, with the aim of blocking the psychic awareness of the populace.
